Imuentinyan “Tia” Igiehon, LMFT-A

Supervised by Dr. Rachel Falbo, LPC-S, LMFT-S

Tia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. Her journey into psychology began with a curiosity about people and their motivations, which led her to pursue a career dedicated to strengthening marriages and family systems. Shaped by her own experiences and strong faith, she is committed to fostering generational transformation through intentional change.

Tia earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University after completing her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Child Learning Development at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has experience working with family units, individuals, and couples, addressing a range of concerns including co-parenting dynamics, emotional regulation, and relational struggles. She has also worked with children using play therapy techniques.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), while also integrating other modalities based on each client’s unique circumstances. She firmly believes that change comes from each individual’s intentional choice to do something different, and she works collaboratively with clients to create meaningful, lasting progress.

Outside of therapy, Tia enjoys staying active, working out, and spending quality time with her husband. She has a deep love for music and has served as a worship leader at church, as well as participated in various music bands. Whether it’s through music, movement, or meaningful conversation, she thrives in spaces that bring people together. She also loves a good game night, embracing both competition and connection in equal measure.
